HOW TO APPLY

Parents, medical providers, community agencies and child care providers may call the program to refer a child if there are concerns related to the child’s development. A screening will be scheduled to determine eligibility.

The early intervention program provides services to all eligible children and their families without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, country of national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, political affiliation or handicapping condition.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In addition to individualized programs for eligible children, the early intervention program offers Developmental Enrichment Groups that are open to all young children in the community. Groups are designed to provide a structured opportunity for parents and their children to engage in activities designed to promote growth and development through play and social interaction. The early intervention program also offers consultation and training to all early childhood programs in the community. Staff work collaboratively with other programs to provide opportunities for inclusion of children enrolled in the early intervention program in other community activities.
