Criterion Child Enrichment sponsors a Healthy Families program, servicing 35 towns surrounding the Framingham/Milford area.
Healthy Families Massachusetts, an affiliate of Healthy Families America®, is a free and voluntary support program for first-time moms and dads. Healthy Families Framingham/Milford can service young adults under the age of 24. Young parents across Massachusetts can sign up for the program during pregnancy or up until their baby turns 1, and continue services up until to the child’s third birthday.
One of our home visitors will get to know you and your baby personally - in your home or somewhere you are comfortable meeting.
Young parents in Healthy Families are provided with support, information on child development and assistance accessing community resources. In addition to home visits, families have the option to participate in group social activities such as holiday celebrations, field trips and dinners.
Healthy Families will also partner with you to help you tackle the challenges that parenting can bring on, find resources in your community, and know what to expect during pregnancy and parenting your child. Your home visitor will also work with you to help you achieve the personal goals you set for yourself, such as finishing school or finding the right job.
Healthy Families staff can also work closely with medical providers, school systems and other community based agencies to coordinate services for program participants. They are able to assist families accessing services for basic necessities such as: food, housing and medical care.
Healthy Families programs are supported through funding from the Massachusetts Children’s Trust. There is no cost to families. Transportation to appointments and program activities can be provided when needed.
The Healthy Families Framingham/Milford program provides services to families residing in the following communities: Ashland, Bellingham, Blackstone, Douglas, Foxboro, Framingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Medfield, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millis, Millville, Natick, Norfolk, Northborough, Northbridge, Plainville, Sherborn, Southborough, Stow, Sudbury, Sutton, Upton, Uxbridge, Walpole, Wayland, Westborough and Wrentham.
